In 2017, through a simple butterfly net and sight word cards, my husband and I discovered something life-changing: Jayden learns and plays in his own way. That moment reshaped our understanding of education. It wasn’t about changing him — it was about understanding him. From that discovery, Learn and Play My Way was born.

We realized that with the right intentional academic support, sensory experiences and meaningful opportunities for engagement, Jayden could thrive — academically, socially, and within his community.

What began as a personal journey to better support our son grew into a calling to support other children and families navigating similar paths.

At Learn and Play My Way, Inc., we believe some children simply need learning experiences designed differently — not lowered expectations, but individualized pathways. Our early initiatives focused on creating a safe and supportive space where parents, caregivers, teachers, and therapists could share strategies, tools, and encouragement to support children who learn in nontraditional ways.

Looking ahead, our mission is evolving. We are preparing to transition Learn and Play My Way into a specialized autism preschool in Central Georgia. Guided by best practices and inspired by the strength-based, individualized approaches of programs like Baudhuin Preschool in Davie, Florida, we aim to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for young children on the autism spectrum. Our preschool will focus on academic learning, communication development, sensory engagement, social play, and community integration — all tailored to each child’s unique way of learning.

Through every event, program, and future classroom, our commitment remains the same: to support and empower children to learn, play, and grow — in their own way.
